All students living in Nisson Towers or Shiloh Hall are required to purchase a meal plan each semester.

 

Meal Plans for Resident Life Students!



Residential students can select from the following meal plans for 2015-2016 School Year (prices quoted are per semester):


Meal Plan A: Approximately $61 per week
      Total of $1049:
             $100 to spend in the Market at Dixie, The Beast, Infusion, and Stacks
            $949 to spend in the Red Rock and Concessions

Meal Plan B: Approximately $79 per week
      Total of $1349:
            $250 to spend in the Market at Dixie, The Beast, Infusion, and Stacks
            $1099 to spend in the Red Rock and Concessions


Meal Plan C: Approximately $85 per week (Default Meal Plan)
      Total of $1449:
            $350 to spend in the Market at Dixie, The Beast, Infusion, and Stacks
            $1099 to spend in the Red Rock and Concessions


Meal Plan D: Approximately $109 per week
      Total of $1849:
            $450 to spend in the Market at Dixie, The Beast, Infusion, and Stacks
            $1399 to spend in the Red Rock and Concessions


Selecting the right meal plan for you:
When selecting a meal plan, consider your schedule and routine. Do you need to have three squares a day to keep up your fitness and exercise routine? Or are you a light-meal/snacking type? Are you an early riser? Or is sleeping in more your reality? Take the time to figure out what meal plan best meets your lifestyle, and then let us take care of the rest.
      Average Price Per Meal:
            Breakfast - $4.51
            Lunch - $6.15
            Dinner - $6.05

Changing Your Meal Plan:
Your meal plan can be changed up to the 5th day of class. In order to change your meal plan, you must come to the Dixie State Dining Services Office to sign the appropriate change form.

      Last day to change your meal plan for Fall Semester:      August 28, 2015

      Last day to change your meal plan for Spring Semester:     January 15, 2016

Points are non-transferrable. No refunds are allowed.

Unused points will carry over from Fall Semester to Spring Semester. Spring Semester points will expire on June 30, 2016.

Contract Release:
Your Resident Life and Dining Contract is in effect for the full academic year (Fall and Spring Semesters). If started after the beginning of Fall Semester, the contract is in effect for the balance of the academic year.

Fees to break your Dining Services Contract:
1. The following reasons will release a student from the Dining Services Contract:
      Medical/Health
      Military
      Graduation from Dixie State University
      Full-Time Ecclesiastical Calling
      Marriage
       Documentary evidence must be presented to the Dixie State Dining Services Office
       with an Exception to Policy form for consideration of Contract Release.
       Qualifying event must take place during the semester requesting the exemption.
       If qualifying event is outside of the semester dates, a buyout penalty will apply.


2. Canceling of Contract
    Official Withdrawal from Dixie State
    Failure to Register
       a. Up to and including the 5th day of class:
            Fall Semester, if on or before August 28, 2015:
              $400.00 Buy-Out PLUS charge for any food eaten, OR
              Keep meal plan with no penalty

            Spring Semester, if on or before January 15, 2016.
              $200.00 Buy-Out PLUS charge for any food eaten, OR
              Keep meal plan with no penalty


       b. After the 5th day of class:
            Fall Semester, if after August 29, 2015.
              No refund of meal plan for Fall Semester, and a $200.00 Buy-Out for Spring Semester
            Spring Semester, if after January 16, 2016.
              No refund of meal plan

3. Eviction:
              $200.00 per semester, OR
              Keep meal plan with no penalty


Dixie State Dining Services will be closed for the Thanksgiving Break.  We will have Vouchers available for purchase, at the Dixie State Dining Services Office, that will be good at local restaurants, within walking distance of Resident Life.

Alternate food arrangements will need to be made for those students remaining on campus during the Christmas Semester Break (December 18 (Dinner) through January 10 (Lunch)).

Dixie State Dining Services will be open for limited hours during other semester breaks- Labor Day Weekend, Fall Recess, Martin Lurther King Jr Day, President's Day and Spring Break.
