Causes, Consequences, and Common Indicators of Obesity in Children and Adolescents
Obesity has become a large-scale, global and growing issue among children and adolescents. Scientists are continually learning the physiological, psychological, and environmental causes of obesity. Medical and graduate research suggests that depressive disorders and anxiety disorders are both linked with this problem. This research project reports findings suggesting a strong correlation between childhood and adolescent obesity, on the one hand, and depressive and anxiety disorders on the other. The objective of this study is to highlight not only the causes of obesity but also the treatment and intervention programs in place that can help these children and adolescents to overcome these obstacles. The study concludes by examining the roles of health care professionals, parents, and educators in targeting and reducing the numbers of children suffering with obesity and depressive and anxiety disorders.
