Admissions Policy
Dixie State College admits qualified students without regard to age, race, color, religion, gender, marital status,
national origin, or disability. All students who plan
to enroll at the college must complete an application
for admission and pay a non-refundable application processing
fee.
Total enrollment
for the college will be managed using established faculty
student ratios, taking into account different ratios
for different programs. Such ratios will not be allowed
to become excessive so as to threaten the quality of
the instructional program.
Admissions Criteria
To be admitted
to Dixie State College a student must:
- Be a high school graduate, or
- Have a GED or recognized equivalent or
- Be beyond the age of compulsory education and pass a standardized test at a national accepted level.
- High school students applying for entrance to Fall Semester prior
to their graduation from high school, will be admitted
according to their graduation date upon signing the
certification statement on the application that they
will graduate at the pre-determined time.
In the absence
of the above documentation the applicant will be admitted
as a "non-matriculated" student. Their status may be
changed when the student provides the appropriate documents.
Freshman Applicants
Dixie State
College screens entering freshmen to determine their
academic skills. Skill levels are determined by ACT,

skills that are below pre-determined levels are advised
to take appropriate courses to help assure their academic
success in college.
