Regular Semester Dates
  • April 16 - Registration begins for Fall
  • Aug 21- Classwork begins
  • Aug 23 - Last day to add classes w/o instructor permit
  • Sep 3 - Labor Day Holiday
  • Sep 4 - Pell Grant Census Date
  • Sep 4 - $50 late registration/payment fee.  DSC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DROP CLASSES FOR NON-PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE DUE AFTER THIS DATE.
  • Sep 11 - Last day for refund of tuition & fees.  NO REFUND AFTER 5:00 PM ON THIS DATE AND DROPPED CLASSES WILL BE ASSIGNED A "W" GRADE ON TRANSCRIPTS"
  • Sep 18 - Last day to ADD classes
  • Oct 16 - Last day to DROP or AUDIT classes
  • Oct 1 - Block Courses Begin
  • Oct 11,12 - Semester Break
  • Nov 13 - Career Day
  • Nov 13 - Last day for Complete Withdrawal
  • Nov 21-23 - Thanksgiving Break
  • Dec 7 - Last day of Classes
  • Dec 10-14 - Final Exams


Fall Block Dates

  • Oct 1 - Block classes begin
  • Oct 3 - Last day to add w/o instructor signature
  • Oct 8 - Pell grant census date for Block only students

Registration Instructions

Once you have been accepted, you are now ready to register for classes!   Before you jump right in though, here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • If you are a first time freshman, you are required to attend the required Freshmen Orientation session unless you have difficulties in doing so.  Please contact the advisement office if this is the case.  Otherwise, all students should consider meeting with an advisor prior to registration.  To contact the advisement office, please, call (435) 652-7690.
  • Do you know your "placement scores"?  Your ACT (or SAT, CPT) test is used for placement purposes, and are pre-requisites for many English, Math, and Writing Courses.
  • Not sure which classes to take?  Check out the the degree requirements for the program you are interested in.
  • Registration takes place simply by logging in, using your assigned Banner ID and PIN number.  If you don't know this information, please contact the registrars office at (435) 652-7708.
