Utah Tech provides a satellite academy in Southern Utah, catering to individuals who are contemplating a career in law enforcement.
In concert with Peace Officer Standards and Training Council, our mission is to provide professional standards and training, leadership and certification for peace officers and dispatchers as we work to protect the rights and privileges of Utah’s citizens while elevating the integrity of the profession.
We are now offering two sessions a year, these will fall in the months of January and September.
Applications for the next session are closed. We will accepted applications for the September academy February, 1st through July, 31st, or until full.
The next Special Function Officer (SFO) will begin September, 2024 more information will be available soon and the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) session will begin January 2025. SFO is a prerequisite for attending LEO.
To apply for the January or September sessions, please contact our office prior to filling out an application. We will provide you with information needed to apply. Please be advised that seats are limited and application should be submitted promptly to ensure a spot.
