As a new student, you are required to attend an orientation session, we call these days Registration and Orientation at Dixie State (ROADS). ROADS allows you to gain a familiarity with campus, speak with an academic advisor, and get on the right track towards graduation from the start of your collegiate career.
To make certain you do attend one of these ROADS sessions, we are going to restrict your ability to register for classes until you meet with us at ROADS. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible as classes fill up fast.
All new students are held to the same registration process with no one eligible to register for classes until completing ROADS.
On-Campus Sessions
On-campus sessions begin in mid June 17th and end August 12th. All sessions are held on Mondays and Tuesdays with limited spots available and specific degrees highlighted during each session. Be sure to register for your session early as dates they will be removed once filled to capacity.
Check-in will begin at 8:30 am in the Eccles Fine Arts Building (corner of 100 S. and 700 E.). Feel free to park in the lot adjacent to the Eccles building. The session will officially begin at 9 am.
Students will be moving throughout campus during the session in order to help familiarize and acclimate students with campus. The session will conclude with students registering for their fall semester courses and leaving campus with a full schedule for fall semester. The session will end before 3 pm.
If you have taken college classes (concurrent enrollment) while in high school, make sure to bring a copy of your transcript to the ROADS session and have an official transcript sent to Dixie State University.
Parents are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided.
Students living outside the red area on this map have the option of attending an on-campus session or completing ROADS online. We understand that it may be difficult to attend an on-campus session because of where you live, so we created an online option that will provide students with useful information to begin their first semester at Dixie State. Students qualifying to complete ROADS online must wait until the first on-campus session begins, June 17th, and will receive a detailed email to both their personal and Dixie State email accounts decribing how to complete this requirement.
If you believe you qualify to complete ROADS online, but did not receive the corresponding email, please contact the department listed below. Please include your name, Dixie State student ID number, and preferred email address in all voicemails or emails.
