This is an exciting time in the history of Dixie State College. Since the founding of this institution more than a century ago, and more than 10 years since first beginning to offered baccalaureate degrees, Dixie has evolved from being a tiny junior/community college in a sleepy southwestern Utah town into one of the fastest growing colleges in Utah and the western United States. Currently Dixie State offers nearly 40 bachelor's degree and emphases programs, while holding true to its community college mission of providing associate degree and certificate programs.
Inspired by the pioneering "Dixie Spirit" of those who settled this land known as "Utah's Dixie" 150 years ago, Dixie State College is on the cusp of gaining university status, further "Adding honor and glory to thy fame" as Dixie begins its second century.
