Why take math? That is a really good question. If you had been born a century or even half a century ago, the answer would include a simple statement about "training the mind." Not very satifying, is it? Yet some of the most valuable rewards of taking even one class above the pre-calculus level include increased ability to recognize patterns, draw logical conclusions, and apply computational solutions to a variety of real world situations.
Most students simply want to know when and how a math class will help them in their chosen area of study. Obviously, each student deserves a unique answer. So, we invite you to visit with a faculty member to get your connection.
