6-22 USE OF PINE VALLEY SNOW/DOLOWITZ CABIN

22.1 PURPOSE

22.1.1 To outline Dixie State College guidelines regarding the use of the Pine Valley Cabin.

22.2 GENERAL POLICY

22.2.1 Scheduling of the cabin will be handled by the Campus Services Department.

22.2.2 College sanctioned functions take precedence over private family use.

22.2.3 Full-time and regular part-time hourly staff Dixie State College employees and their families may reserve the cabin.

22.2.3.1 Use is limited to immediate family (employee, children, parents).

22.2.3.2 The employee must be in attendance with the family.

22.2.3.3 An employee may reserve the cabin up to two times per year for personal use (maximum of four days/three nights per reservation).

22.2.3.4 An employee may reserve the cabin during a holiday only once every three years.

22.2.3.5 Reservations are made for the year starting each January. See web site information and procedures.

22.2.4 A fee will be charged for the use of the cabin. This fee is determined by the Administration. See fee schedule available at Campus Services.

22.2.5 A deposit will be required for non-campus use. The deposit will be refunded only upon timely notification of cancellation and if the caretakers certify that the cabin was left in acceptable condition.

22.2.6 The number of automobiles allowed on the exterior premises will be limited to eight.

22.2.7 Institutional funds may not be expended for non-campus use of the cabin.

22.2.8 The College reserves the right to amend or revise this policy at its discretion.
