6-20 VIDEO TAPING OF EVENTS

20.1 PURPOSE: To outline college policy regarding video taping of events held at the college.

20.1.1 By Outside Agencies or Persons

20.1.1.1 Video taping performances by individuals or commercial enterprises for commercial use is strictly prohibited on the Dixie State College Campus without specific written permission of the Executive Director of the Avenna Center.

20.1.1.2 Permission may be granted on the condition that Dixie State College television is not covering the event.

20.1.1.3 The college will not supply support materials, such as equipment or electric cables, without prior permission and coordination between the presenter and the Avenna Center staff.

20.1.1.4 Any damage to the facility as the result of equipment or power use, placement or movement, is the responsibility of the person or organization performing the taping.

20.1.1.5 Setup of video taping will not in anyway interfere with patrons’ view of performances or proceedings.

20.1.1.6 The person or organization performing the taping must guarantee copyright compliance of written permission by the copyright holder prior to the event.

20.1.2 By Campus Departments or Personnel

20.1.2.1 If videotaping is requested from a college department, the grantee must guarantee copyright compliance of written permission by the copyright holder prior to the event and comply with any other conditions imposed by the College.
