Policy: ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF DIXIE STATE COLLEGE CONSTITUTION AND CHARTER

APPENDIX I

ASSOCIATED STUDENTS OF DIXIE STATE COLLEGE OF UTAH CONSTITUTION AND CHARTER

We, the Associated Students of Dixie State College of Utah, by virtue of the power granted by the students and the Board of Trustees at Dixie State College of Utah, establish this constitution in order to fully represent all phases and aspects of student government on campus. All actions of the Associated Students of Dixie State College of Utah, hereafter referred to as ASDSC, shall be in accordance with the provisions of this constitution.

Article I: GOVERNMENT OF ASSOCIATED STUDENTS

Section A Membership and Rights

1. All full or part-time students paying the corresponding activity fee shall have privileges of membership.

2. The name of this organization shall be the Associated Students of Dixie State College of Utah (ASDSC).

3. All students registered at Dixie State College of Utah are granted all rights and privileges as established by this constitution.

Section B Government

1. The government of the ASDSC is divided into four branches, Executive Council, Student Council, Student Advisory Council, and Inter-Club Council.

2. The government of the ASDSC shall be vested in one governing body, the ASDSC Executive Council.

Article II: ELECTED EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Section A The Elected Executive Council

The Elected Executive Council shall be comprised of the following members:

1. Student Body President

2. Executive Academic Vice President

A. The Executive Council shall be chaired by the Student Body President.

Section B Elected Executive Council Powers

1. ASDSC Student Body President shall have the power to enforce all policies passed by the Executive Council.

2. The Student Body President shall have the power of line item veto and veto legislation passed by the Executive Council, within one week of its passing, with proper written notification to the Council.

3. A presidential veto may be overridden by a two-thirds vote of all the voting membership of the Executive Council.

4. The Student Body President shall have the power to chair the Appointing Committee for all appointed positions within Student Government. The Committee shall be comprised of Executive Council and an Advisor.

5. The Student Body President will chair Executive Council meetings and sessions.

6. The Student Body President shall prepare the annual Student Government budget. The Executive Council shall review and approve this budget.

7. The Executive Council shall establish scholarship awards for Student Government positions.

8. The Academic Vice President shall chair SAC, appoint chairpersons over committees, and shall have the power to act upon responsibilities delegated to that office by the Student Body President.

The nonvoting member of the Executive Council is as follows:

1. Student Body President (except to break tie votes)

Article III: APPOINTED EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Section A The Appointed Executive Council

The appointed Executive Council shall be comprised of the following members:

1. Executive Vice President of Student Life

2. Executive Vice President of Inter-Club Council

3. Executive Vice President of Service

4. Executive Vice President of Communications

5. Executive Vice President of Campus Life

A. The Executive Council may appoint assistant(s) to serve under each respective body of government; however, such appointed will not be held to vote.

Section B Appointed Executive Council Powers

1. The Student Life Vice President shall chair the Activities Council, DAB, appoint chairpersons over committees, and shall have the power to act upon responsibilities so delegated to that office by the Student Body President.

2. The Inter-Club Council Vice President shall chair all ICC meetings, shall be in charge of all budget allocations for ICC, and shall have the power to act upon responsibilities so delegated to that office by the Student Body President.

3. The Service Vice President shall chair the Service Council, Service Club, and shall have power to act upon responsibilities so delegated to that office by the Student Body President.

4. The Communications Vice President shall chair the Publicity Council, and the Publicity Committee, and shall have power to act upon responsibilities so delegated to that office by the Student Body President.

5. The Administrative Assistant shall be a voting member of the Executive Council and shall have the power to act upon responsibilities so delegated to that office by the Student Body President.

6. Each constitutional change must be made by the Executive Council and approved by two-thirds vote of the Executive council.

7. All ASDSC Executive Council members shall abide by a contract signed immediately following being sworn in.

Article IV: STUDENT COUNCIL

Section A The Student Council

The Student Council of the ASDSC is hereby established to provide a formal representative body for the ASDSC. The Student Council shall be comprised of:

1. Social Chair

2. Special Events Chair

3. Administrative Assistant

4. Multi-Media Chair

5. SAC Academic Chair

6. SAC Administration Chair

A. The Student Body President shall preside over the Student Council and will chair all Student Council meetings unless otherwise delegated.

B. The Student Council Members, excluding the Executive Council, shall be selected by an Appointing Committee.

C. The entire Student Council are non-voting members.

Article V STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC)

Section A SAC

The Student Advisory Council shall be comprised of the following members:

1. Academic Vice President

2. SAC Academic Chair

3. SAC Administrative Chair

SAC Chairmen shall be appointed by the Student Body President and the Academic Vice President. SAC Chairmen are required to attend the weekly Executive Council meetings and are non-voting members.

Section B SAC Powers and Purpose

1. SAC shall act as the student representative in assigned meetings.

2. SAC must attend all assigned committee meetings and report all campus concerns and policies to the Executive Council.

3. Shall research, study, and discuss issues of concern throughout the studentbody at Dixie State College of Utah.

4. Shall abide by a contract signed immediately after being appointed.

Article V I: INTER-CLUB COUNCIL (ICC)

Section A ICC

The Inter-Club Council shall be comprised of the following members:

All Campus Club Presidents

Section B ICC Purpose and Powers

1. The Inter-Club Council shall be chaired by the Executive Vice President of Inter-Club Council.

2. ICC shall organize and carry out the Dixie State College Homecoming Parade, WOW Extravaganza, Fall and Spring Club Rush, and a D-Week Extravaganza.

3. The Executive Vice President of Inter-Club Council may appoint a secretary and others as assigned to aid in the Council's duties and responsibilities.

Article VII: ELECTION INFORMATION FOR THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

Section A Definition

1. The ASDSC Executive Council as comprised in Article II Section A shall be elected officers for the ASDSC Executive Council.

2. The Student Body President and the Academic Vice President shall run as a party.

3. Should either member of the elected Executive Council vacate their position, the Executive Council shall have the power to appoint a replacement for that position. The appointed person shall comply with all council requirements (credits, GPA, etc.).

4. Should the Student Body President vacate his/her position after elections, but prior to the beginning of the school year, a new Student Body President shall be appointed who was elected as the Academic Vice President. His/her position shall then be appointed by the new Student Body President.

Section B Eligibility

1. Eligibility for candidates is as follows:

A. Shall be enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester credit hours by the end of spring semester.

B. Shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 for previous college work and must have 24 completed Dixie State College of Utah credits prior to running, by the end of spring semester.

C. Shall not be a member of any other major organization on campus whose time demands conflict with ASDSC responsibilities. The determination will be made by the current Student Body President.

D. Must submit a petition of candidacy signed by 25 current Dixie State College of Utah students, letter of intent, two letters of recommendation, an official transcript, and a resume.

Section C Election - General Information

1. Elections for ASDSC Student Body President and the Academic Vice President shall be held according to the designated time period from the current Academic Vice President.

2. Terms for all elected offices of the Executive Council are for a period of one year.

3. Newly elected Executive Council officers will be sworn in by the out-going ASDSC Student Body President at Rebel Awards each year.

4. Newly appointed officers shall assume office immediately following taking oath of office.

5. Newly elected and appointed Executive Council members will begin training immediately and will co-chairing any remaining spring semester events and or meetings with each current Executive Council member.

Article VIII: APPOINTED REPRESENTATIVES

Section A Definition

1. Appointed offices are any Executive or Student Council position not directly filled through the ASDSC election process and are those appointed by the elected Executive Council.

2. Appointed Student Council members shall assume office immediately after taking oath of office.

Section B Terms of Office

1. The terms of office for all appointed positions are for a period of one year.

Section C Eligibility

Eligibility for candidates is as follows:

1. Shall be enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester credit hours by the end of spring semester.

2. Shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 for previous college work, and must have 24 completed Dixie State College of Utah credits prior to running by the end of spring semester.

3. Shall not be a member of any other major organization on campus whose time demands conflict with ASDSC responsibilities. This determination will be made by the current Student Body President.

4. Submit a petition of candidacy signed by 25 current Dixie State College of Utah students.

5. Submit a portfolio containing a letter of intent, current transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a one-page resume.

Article IX: PROBATION

Section A Procedures:

Probation procedures can be brought against any elected or appointed officer by a 2/3 majority vote of the Executive Council. Probation proceedings may be instituted for any of the following reasons:

A. Failure to fulfill respective responsibilities outlined in the bylaws of this constitution.

B. Malfeasance in office.

C. Failure to maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average.

D. Failure to complete minimum 12 credit hours per semester.

E. Violation of the Dixie State College of Utah Code of Conduct.

F. Failure to uphold the Attendance Policy, which states, you are allowed two unexcused absences of official ASDSC events. Three unexcused tardies equals an unexcused absence. Excused absences determined by the ASDSC President.

Section B Probable Cause

Any Executive Council member may be put on probation by the ASDSC President with probable cause. Such cause must be approved by 2/3 majority of the Executive Council in order for the member to be on formal probation.

Section C Terms of Probation:

Executive Council Members who are on formal probation will receive terms of probation set by the Executive Council. Violation of such terms will lead to the impeachment process.

Article X: IMPEACHMENT

Section A Procedures

Impeachment procedures can be brought against any elected or appointed officer by a majority vote of the Executive Council. The impeached officer will then appear before the Student Affairs Committee for finalization of impeachment. Impeachment proceedings may be instituted for any of the following reasons:

1. Failure to fulfill the duties of office as constituted by the contract signed immediately after oath into office.

2. Malfeasance in office.

3. An ASDSC member must attain a cumulative minimum grade point average of 2.5. Failure to comply will result in immediate dismissal from the council. An appeal may be made within five working days after written notice has been given.

4. Failure to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.

5. Violation of the Dixie State College of Utah Code of Conduct (Rights and Responsibilities).

6. Failure to participate in the student government meetings and activities. If any member of the ASDSC Council fails to attend regularly scheduled ASDSC meetings without prior notice or an excused absence, she/he will be warned in writing by the Student Body President. A second unexcused absence will result in a recommendation for impeachment proceedings, or a call for the resignation of that individual from the ASDSC Council. All appeals for impeachment will go before the ASDSC Council first, then to the Student Affairs Committee for final action. This policy will be implemented on a bi-semester basis. It will be the responsibility of the ASDSC Administrative Assistant (or in his/her absence, the Executive Vie President) to record ASDSC Council attendance.

Article XI AMENDMENTS

Section A Initiation

1. Amendments to this constitution may be initiated by a two-thirds vote of the Executive Council or by a petition bearing the signature of ten percent of ASDSC.

Section B Notification

1. A proposed amendment shall meet the following criteria before a concurring vote of ASDSC.

2. The proposed amendment shall be posted on a designated bulletin board on the campus for five days prior to voting.

3. The proposed amendment shall be published in the school newspaper at least five days prior to voting.

4. An open forum shall be held for the members of ASDSC to discuss a proposed amendment.

CHARTER TO ASDC CONSTITUTION

Student Body President

1. As Chief Executive Office of ASDSC the primary responsibilities are: coordination and administration of all phases of student government and exercising all executive powers given by the constitution unless otherwise specified.

2. Presides and Chairs the Executive Council and Student Council Meetings.

3. Serves as non-voting chair of the Executive Council except in the event of a tie.

4. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

5. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

6. Attend Executive Council meetings prepared to report on state and college issues, activities, and projects.

7. Supports other council members by lending assistance when needed.

8. Serves as a liaison between students and administration.

9. Serves as a student representative to the following boards: DSC College Council, DSC Board of Trustees, and the Utah Council of Student Body Presidents.

10. Serves as a student representative to the following councils and committees: Student Services Council, Student Affairs Committee, and the Rebel Awards Committee.

11. Oversees the entire student council: counseling and assisting Vice Presidents, Chairs, and Committee members in their respective responsibilities.

12. Chairs the Fee Allocation Committee.

13. Conducts midterm and end of semester evaluation interviews with Executive members.

14. Maintains close working relationships with the following external education organizations: Utah Student Association, Utah Board of Regents, and the Commissioners of Higher Education Office.

15. Oversees the maintenance of records of Student Government, the distribution of tuition waivers and use of all student funds.

16. Ratifies the fall and spring semester budget of allocated student fee money.

17. Chair of Campus to Community Council and the Great Race Committee.

18. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

 

 

Administrative Assistant

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive and Student Council meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress.

6. Supports other council members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Orders all day planner refills and name plaques for the Executive Council.

8. Assists the Student Body President and the Executive Council with office related duties.

9. Maintains records and supply of all ASDSC Letter Head, Thank you cards, Business Cards, Copy logs, Phone logs, Email request forms, and contains possession of all master copies.

10. Submits agendas for all Executive Council, SAC, DAB, and ICC Meetings.

11. Takes minutes at all Executive Council, SAC, DAB, and ICC Meetings.

12. Maintains an updated attendance role at all Executive and Student Council meetings.

13. Creates an updated scrapbook of sponsored events and new articles of the Executive and Student Council for the current year.

14. Maintains maintenance and daily upkeep of the ID card machine.

15. Submits a detailed budget of any Executive Council supplies and other expenditures to the Executive Council.

16. Prepares semester reports detailing accomplishments and activities.

17. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

 

 

Academic Vice President

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive and Student Council meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress.

6. Supports other council members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Serves as a liaison between students and administration on questions related to academic policy and grading.

8. Conducts in the absence of the Student Body President.

9. Serves on Academic Council and Admissions and Credits. Works closely with the Deans of the various colleges (schools) in order to ensure that students receive the education to which they are entitled.

10. Organizes and oversees the SAC Council through submitting budget requests, budget expenditures, and assists council members in their respective responsibilities.

11. Oversees Book Buy Back Board.

12. Responsible for organizing Student of the Semester.

13. Chair of the ASDSC Election Committee; responsible for all ASDSC Elections on campus.

14. Chairperson of a Political Awareness Committee who organizes and oversees Political Awareness Week and Student Appreciation Week.

15. Utah Intercollegiate Assemble (U.I.A.) delegate chair.

16. Assists the President with the distribution of tuition waivers and use of all student funds.

17. Responsible for overseeing Career Day as ASDSC representative.

18. Student Representative on DSC Alumni Board.

19. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

 

 

SAC Administrative Chair

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President and the Academic Vice President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all SAC meetings and events, prepared to report on meeting discussion and projects.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Required to be present at all Executive and Student Council Meetings - sitting as a non-voting member.

8. Serves as a member of the Athletic, Marketing, Campus Web, Administrative Services, Publications & Media, Parking Appeals, ADA, Residency, Rebel Awards Committee, Financial Aid, and Student Services Council, Civic Awareness Councils, Lobbying Committees.

9. Create and submit resolutions at UIA.

10. Helps to maintain the ASDSC Comment Box and SAC lunch.

11. Serves as the student voice at all meetings and reports to the Executive Council.

12. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

13. Member of ASDSC Elections Committee.

14. Political Awareness Week and Student Appreciation Week committee member.

 

 

SAC Academic Chair

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President and the Academic Vice President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all SAC meetings and events, prepared to report on meeting discussion and projects.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

8. Serves as a member of the Scholarship, Commencement, Curriculum, Cultural and Diversity, Student Affairs, Safety, Scholastic Standards Committee, Academic Council, Admissions and Credits Council, Civic Awareness Councils, and Lobbying Committees.

9. Helps to maintain the ASDSC Comment Box and SAC lunch.

10. Serves as the student voice at all meetings and reports to the Executive Council.

11. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

12. Member of ASDSC Elections Committee.

13. Political Awareness Week and Student Appreciation Week committee member.

 

 

Service Vice President

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive and Student Council meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Responsible for coordinating and promoting service opportunities for ASDSC.

8. Creates and appoints a Service Council. Holds weekly meetings with the Service Council and Service Club.

9. Actively promotes service learning on DSC campus.

10. Represents DSC as service chair of the Service Coalition - SUN - Serving Utah Network.

11. Responsible for organizing and distributing Final Survival Kits.

12. Submits a detailed service budget to the Student Body President.

13. Organizes Hunger Awareness Week in Fall Semester and Random Acts of Kindness Week during Spring Semester.

14. Maintains service/volunteer board on the kiosks and marquees.

15. Sponsors a volunteer program at DSC.

16. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

17. Serves as a member of the Homecoming and D-Week Committees.

 

 

Vice President of Campus Life

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends DAB Meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress regarding diversity.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Oversees and schedules campus diversity events delegating responsibilities to committee member.

8. Promotes all ASDSC sponsored activities.

9. Responsible for World Week during fall and spring semester.

10. Services as a liaison between the Multi-Cultural Center and the Executive Council.

11. Organizes and oversees involvement with the intramural program on campus. Works closely with the Intramural Director, Fitness Center, and Athletic Department in coordinating Captains meetings, equipment, and any other assistance deemed necessary. Maintains all updated information on the Intramural Board.

12. Organizes a Campus Life Committee that addresses cultural and diversity activities and issues. Conducts weekly planning meetings with this committee.

13. Serves as a member of the Dixie Forum Committee.

14. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

 

 

ICC Vice President

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Organizes and oversees all ICC service projects, fund-raisers, and other ICC sponsored events.

8. Serves as a student representative on the D-Week and the Homecoming Week Committees.

9. Oversees the Clubs and Organizations; developing leadership skills, counseling and assisting President and club officers in their respective responsibility.

10. Organizes and oversees all club funding and budget expenditures, acting as a member of the DSC Fee Allocation Committee.

11. Organizes and conducts ICC Meetings, ensuring the maintenance of agendas and minutes for those meetings.

12. Maintains accurate lists of clubs, club officers, and club advisers. Does a bi-monthly roll check on these organizations with the Vice President of Student Life.

13. Co-Chairs WOW Week (Week of Welcome) during the first week of each semester.

14. Organizes a semester club rush.

15. Serves as Chair of the Homecoming Parade.

16. Submits an ICC clubs detailed budget to the Student Body President.

17. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

18. Assists the Student Body President with the Great Race during D-Week.

 

 

Vice President of Student Life

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive and Student Council meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Oversees and schedules all ASDSC campus events delegating responsibility to the Student Life Committee and DAB members.

8. Responsible for Entertainment Dixie, Powder Puff, the Howl Dance, Mr. Dixie, and Stomps.

9. Organizes and oversees weekly DAB meetings, counseling and assisting Chairs and Committee members in their respective responsibilities.

10. Organizes and oversees all DAB budget funding and expenditures, and submits a DAB detailed budget tot he Student Body President.

11. Co-Chair of WOW week with ICC President.

12. Responsible for chairing and overseeing all major event weeks (Homecoming, D-Week) on campus.

13. Attends NACA Conference with Director of Student Activities.

14. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

15. Responsible for advertising all Student Life activities.

 

 

Special Events Chair

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President and the Vice President of Student Life.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive, Student Council, and DAB meetings, prepared to report on activities and projects.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Oversees and schedules campus events delegating responsibilities to committee members.

8. Promotes all ASDSC sponsored activities.

9. Conducts weekly Special Event Committee Planning Meetings.

10. Responsible for New Student Orientation, How 'D' Leader Orientation, Homecoming Dance, Outdoor Movies, Spirit D's, Mothers' Weekend, and D-Day Dance.

11. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

12. Member of the Homecoming and D-Week Committees.

13. Responsible for advertisement of own activities.

 

 

Social Chair

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President and the Vice President of Student Life.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive, Student Council, and DAB meetings, prepared to report on activities and projects.

6. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Oversees and schedules campus events delegating responsibilities to committee members.

8. Promotes all ASDSC sponsored activities.

9. Conducts weekly Social Committee Planning Meetings.

10. Responsible for Sadie Hawkins, Christmas Dance, Homecoming Queen Pageant, D-Queen Pageant, and Preference Dance.

11. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

12. Responsible for advertisement of own activities.

 

 

Vice President of Public Relations

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive and Student Council meetings, prepared to report on activities and progress.

6. Supports other council members by lending assistance when needed.

7. Organizes and oversees a Publicity Committee that holds weekly meetings to help publicize, advertise and promote ASDSC activities and programs.

8. Oversees all publicity budget funding and expenditures. Submits a publicity detailed budget to the Student Body President.

9. Liaison between student government and student publications, Dixie Sun. Submits all calendar and weekly information to this publication.

10. Maintains weekly/monthly maintenance of all ASDSC boards, corner marquee, library marquee, and Gardner Center marquee.

11. Designs and produces the ASDSC Student Handbook and the Student Directory book with the help of the Multi-Media Chair.

12. Organizes and conducts dorm-storms and advertisement campaigns for activities.

13. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

 

 

Multi-Media Chair

1. Serves under the direction of the Student Body President and the Vice President of Public Relations.

2. Must attend ASDSC pre-calendared events.

3. Serves as a non-voting member of the ASDSC Executive Council.

4. Must maintain at least 12 DSC credit hours and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

5. Attends all Executive and Student Council meetings, prepared to report.

6. Member of Publicity Committee attends all Publicity meetings, prepared to report on activities and advertising strategies.

7. Supports other council and committee members by lending assistance when needed.

8. Promotes all ASDSC sponsored activities, helping to design flyers and printed posters for ASDSC Council activities and programs.

9. Responsible for maintaining the ASDSC student government web site.

10. Assists the Vice President of Public Relations in designing the DSC Student Handbook.

11. Assists the ASDSC Council by submitting weekly emails to the Student Body.

12. Cultivates and maintains positive relations.

13. Assists in the maintenance of ASDSC Marquees.

14. Submits all advertisement and publicity write-ups to KDSC radio station and other local Radio and TV stations.
