5-29 FOOD SERVICES

Dixie State College Food Services is a member of the National Association of College and University Food Service (NACUFS). Food Services provides food of high quality to students, faculty, staff, and guests of the college.

29.1 The college operates a cafeteria, food court, vending machines, concessions, and catering.

29.2 The cafeteria offers hot meals.

29.3 Students living in Shiloh and Nisson Towers are required to purchase meal tickets.

29.3.1 Meal tickets may be purchased at the food services office by any student, faculty, or staff member.

29.3.2 Questions regarding food services, meal tickets, catering, or the Student Center may be addressed to the director of food services.

29.4 Meal Ticket Refunds

29.4.1 When a student withdraws early from the college, refunds for meal tickets will be prorated by actual usage of the ticket, less a $10 withdrawal fee.

29.4.2 Students holding meal cards must use their points during the current school year or lose the point balance at the end of summer semester.

29.4.3 Purchased points not used during the current school year are non-refundable and will be deleted.

29.4.4 Exceptions to Refund Policy

29.4.4.1 Exceptions to the housing and meal refund policy must be appealed to the student auxiliary services appeals committee.

29.4.4.2 All appeals must be submitted in writing to the housing director, the food services director, or the vice president of student services.
