5-25 CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS
25.1 Recognizing the value of extra-curricular activities of quality in the total collegiate experience, Dixie State College encourages active participation in the many and varied student clubs and organizations on campus.
25.2 Student club standards are established according to guidelines for funding, publicity, activity, and membership by the ASDC constitution.
25.3 Clubs must have a minimum of 10 individual members in order to maintain official recognition.
25.4 A "club constitution" must be submitted to the ASDC council for official recognition by majority vote.
25.5 Further information regarding clubs and organizations can be obtained from the director of student activities, or any ASDC council member.
25.6 Eligibility to Join a Club
Any student registered for at least one credit or more may petition to join a campus club or organization.
25.7 Individual club and organization membership guidelines may be restricted by grades, credits, interviews, or other acceptable guidelines (as determined by the ASDC constitution).
25.8 Club membership or participation may not be restricted by considerations of age, sex, marital status, religion, ethnic origin, physical capability, and other protected classes.
