5-16 CLASSIFICATION OF STUDENTS
16.1 Matriculated Students
16.1.1 Freshmen: Matriculated students with fewer than 30 earned semester credit hours at the time of registration are classified as freshmen.
16.1.2 Sophomores: Matriculated students with between 30 and 59.99 earned semester credit hours at the time of registration are classified sophomores.
16.1.3 Juniors: Matriculated students that have between 60 and 89.99 earned credits hours at the time of registration are classified juniors.
16.1.4 Seniors: Matriculated students that have earned 90 or more credit hours at the time of registration are classified seniors.
16.2 Non-matriculated Stuents
16.2.1 Non-matriculated students are classified as Undergraduate Non-Degree Seeking (SPU), regardless of the credit hours earned.
16.2.2 Once a non-matriculated student matriculates, that student's earned credit hours will be applied to the matriculation matrix for classification.
