1.2.1 A credit hour represents approximately one clock hour of class time instruction each week for one semester. Therefore, in lecture-type classes where the student is required to attend one clock hour for one credit hour, the student should expect to invest a minimum of two hours of outside preparation for that hour of instruction. Laboratories and co-curricular activities may or may not be included as part of the preparation.
