4-22 EMERGENCY LEAVE AND PERSONAL LEAVE
Emergency/Personal leave may be taken for essential and/or emergency matters for which the scheduling is beyond the control of the employee.
22.1 Conditions
22.1.1 Emergency/Personal leave may be granted in the following cases if approved in advance by the employee's immediate supervisor:
22.1.1.1 Scheduled legal or business matters.
22.1.1.2 Any other serious personal, family or household emergency, if approved by the employee's immediate supervisor.
22.1.2 Emergency/Personal leave shall not normally exceed three days annually.
22.1.3 Such absence will be charged to the employee's accrued sick leave.
22.1.4 Recording of leave will be indicated by an "E/P" on the leave form (HR-L1) and the Time Recap sheet.
