Policy: JURY AND SUBPOENAED WITNESS SERVICE

3-23 JURY AND SUBPOENAED WITNESS SERVICE

23.1 All full-time, provisional or temporary, employees will receive their regular compensation when serving jury duty or when subpoenaed or directed by proper authority to appear as a witness in state or federal court, or at state or federal administration hearings.

23.2 Pay received as juror or witness fees will be reimbursed to the College on a prorated basis, according to the employees regular daily schedule.

23.3 Time absent by reason of an employee's personal legal affairs will not be compensated.

23.3.1 Where applicable, an employee may take annual or personal leave;

23.3.2 Otherwise the employee must apply, and be granted permission for unpaid leave of absence.
