POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Position:     RESPIRATORY THERAPY CLINICAL COORDINATOR / FACULTY

 

Responsibilities:

·        Organizing, administering, reviewing, developing, and assuring program effectiveness of integrated laboratory and clinical courses 

·        Teaching program courses; participating in the continued development of the program.

·        Evaluate and assure clinical education effectiveness; and participating in budget planning and development

·        Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula, including preparation of class and clinical instructional material including class schedules

·        Participate in the recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of Respiratory Therapy program adjunct faculty and staff

·        Assist in the development of contracts with community health agencies

·        Assure compliance with OSHA standards for infection control and hazardous materials

·        Participate in the development and implementation the Respiratory Therapy program’s admissions policies and procedures, student evaluation, and retention process

·        Participate in aspects of national accreditation (CAAHEP – CoARC), including self-report, on-site visit, follow-up, and on-going evaluation of the Respiratory Therapy program and related programs

·        Assist in the preparation of reports required by internal and external agencies and departments

·        Serve on committees as assigned and attend faculty/department meetings as required

·        Assist the Program Director with other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·        A Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

·        At least three years occupational experience in Respiratory Therapy

·        At least two years experience as an instructor in a CAAHEP-CoARC accredited program

·        Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NCRC)

·        Meet Utah Respiratory Therapy Licensing Board requirements

 

Terms of Contract:  This position is a three (3) semester tenure track faculty position.  Salary is based on a nationally competitive Dixie State College faculty salary schedule.  Excellent benefits package included.
