Responsibilities:
·
Teach a broad spectrum of discipline-related undergraduate
offerings.
·
Work with the department chair, the dean, and other faculty
in program management, including preparation of class offerings and schedules;
mentoring adjuncts; rotating course coordination; management of budgets,
supplies, and equipment.
·
Perform defined campus-wide duties,
including holding office hours, functioning as an advisor to students, serving
on committees, attending department and division meetings, and adhering to
college policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
·
Doctorate degree or
master’s degree (indicated with a ‘*”) required.
·
Successful
post-secondary teaching experience.
Finalists will be required to demonstrate competence in a classroom
setting.

Interest and
expertise must be in teaching, not research.
·
A willingness to
learn and receive training in computer applications.
·
Ability to
communicate clearly with students, staff, and colleagues, both orally and in
writing.
·
Ability to work well
with other faculty, staff, and students.
Terms of Contract:
Nine month faculty position, most are tenure track. Contingent on approved funding. Salary is based on nationally competitive Dixie State College faculty salary
schedule. Excellent benefit package
(includes 14.2% contribution to TIAA/Cref retirement plan, family coverage
medical/ dental insurance paid by college, and other benefits).
