POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 

EVENTS AND GRANTS COORDINATOR

 

Responsibilities:

 

·        Works with Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Associate Vice President of Advancement and Cultural Arts, and Alumni Director to plan and implement special events at Dixie State College.

·        Works with Alumni Director on booking and overseeing Alumni House rental events.

·        Manages and coordinates Institutional Advancement Division events including: the Sears Invitational Art Show, Fire & Ice Gala, Scholarship Associates Golf Tournament, Hall of Fame, Homecoming, Celebrity Golf Classic, reunions, alumni events, building dedications, fundraising events, donor cultivation events, and stewardship events.

·        Coordinates event mass mailings.

·        Management of event recordkeeping and databases.

·        Researches and writes grants for Dixie State College.

·        Maintains grant calendar.

·        Works with volunteer committees.

 

Qualifications:

 

·        Bachelor’s degree and three years related experience required.

·        Knowledge of principles and practices of fund raising, event planning and grant writing.

·        Computer expertise is required (computer design applications such as Adobe Office Suite).

·        Ability to work under pressure with continual deadlines and on several projects simultaneously.

·        Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

·        Ability to exercise critical human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, the college community, and the public.

 

Terms of Contract:  Full time professional staff position.  Beginning salary range $34,000 to $36,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.  Excellent benefits.
