Physical Therapist Assistant Courses

Prerequisites and General Education Courses:
NOTE: prerequisite courses must be taken prior to acceptance into the PTA program; general education courses may be taken after acceptance into the program. PTA courses may be taken only by those accepted into the PTA Program.

Prerequisites: BIOL 2320/2325 Human Anatomy/Lab; BIOL 2420/2425 Human Physiology/Lab; PTA 1010 Introduction to Physical Therapy (offered spring semester only); HLOC 1000 Medical Terminology.   13 total credits.

General Education:  COMM 2110 Interpersonal Communication or COMM 1020 Public Speaking; ENGL 1010 Introduction to Writing; ENGL 2010 Intermediate Writing; FCS 1500 or PSY 1100 Human Development; MATH 1030 (or higher) Quantitative Reasoning - 15 total credits.
