I have been a nurse and nurse educator for a long time. My mantra as an educator is: Students are the center of my universe. Most of my work is administrative as dean of the school of nursing and allied health, and director of the nursing programs, but I do get to teach in the BSN program which provides me with great joy. Outside of work you will find me quilting, knitting, reading, and spending time with my family including the loves of my life, Molly and MacDougall, my golden retrievers. |

I love teaching nursing and have for almost 16 years. I also love being a nurse. I work part time at Intermountain Healthcare’s WorkMed as a nurse practitioner. The rest of my time is spent finishing my doctorate in nursing practice. I plan to finish this degree in May of 2010. I have a wonderful husband and 2 new puppies that give me great pleasure. We have the best nursing school in the state. |

I began in nursing in 1986 with a BSN from Brigham Young University. I completed my Masters in Nursing Management from the University of Phoenix in 1996. I began teaching in 2000 at College of Eastern Utah in Price and then moved to Dixie a year later. I have enjoyed teaching here at Dixie because we have great students and a great team. My hobbies include reading, writing poetry, singing, riding my horse, camping and enjoying my children and grandchildren. |

I graduated from nursing school in 1985 and have specialized in Women’s and Children’s nursing for the last 25 years. The only thing I love as much as bedside nursing is teaching nursing students to love Women’s and Children’s nursing. Everyone should love what they do. |

I’ve been a nurse for many years and a nurse educator for 5 years. My specialties are pediatric and trauma nursing. Working on my PhD in nursing keeps me very busy. I enjoy time with my grandson, we go fishing and boating. This year I will learn to play golf and spend time with friends. I am interested in African culture and will make time for classes related to this subject. |

Dixie State College gives me the opportunity to work with students at the bedside and I love it!! Quality nursing is my passion and I love to work with young nurses in developing not only a well rounded nurse but one that has a zest for quality. Having been in nursing for over 30 years, I am currently completing a Master’s Degree. In my spare time, I love to hike, spend time with my family and thrift store shop. |
