Associate of Applied Science in EMS
The Associate of Applied Science in EMS is a degree offered to students who plan on entering the Paramedic Program. The Associate Degree is much broader than the Paramedic certification and provides opportunities for professional growth and better opportunities for job placement and advancement, career promotions, as well as increases options for job transfer.
Please be advised that a student must have certification as a Basic EMT or Intermediate EMT for one full year before applying for the Paramedic program. By completing the EMT-Basic/EMS 1100 course prior to beginning the Associate of Applied Science Degree, the one year requirement for the EMT will pass while students complete other required courses.
