Dixie State College of Utah offers training to students in several levels of nursing. The practical nurse and associate registered nurse programs have been approved by the Utah State Board of Nursing and have received accreditation through NLNAC™.
Health Science Scholarships: Scholarships are awarded to full-time, undergraduate nursing students with financial need. Applicants must complete a FAFSA application to be considered. Recipients will be selected by the nursing department. Application
Bamberger Nursing Scholarships: Students who are in their first semester of the DSC nursing program are invited to apply for the Bamberger Nursing Scholarship. These scholarsrhips will be awarded based on academic standing (GPA), an essay, and clinical perormance (seeks learning opportunities, participates in group discussions, able to apply nursing process to patient care situation, dresses professionally, and able to develop relationships of trust and demonstrates caring behaviors.) AmeriCorps Service
Upon successful completion of a term of service, members are eligible to receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. These awards range from $1,000 to $4,000, which may be used to pay current college costs or to repay student loans. National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing
National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing has two scholarships available. You must be a member of a local, state, or national student nurse association. The application forms & all criteria can be found at www.noadn.org
Utah Nurses Foundation Nursing Grant-In-Aid
Provides scholarships to Utah residents who are interested in working on a nursing degree. Recipients must agree to join the Utah Nurses Association within 6 months of graduation. Ruth S Clayton Memorial Nursing Scholarship
A grant program providing financial assistance to women graduates from Utah high schools to attend schools located in the state of Utah. Must study nursing with the goal of attaining an R.N or R.N/B.S.N progr. Applicants must need financial assistance in order to continue their education, have high academic achievement, extra-curricular and/or community involvement and established nursing career goals. Tylenol Scholarship
The Tylenol scholarship is for student pursuing career in healthcare, life sciences or a related field. This year they will award $250,000 in scholarships based on leadership qualities and academic performance, including ten $10,000 and thirty $5,000 grants. The deadline is May 15th. more information...
