Applying for Federal Student Aid

    Applying for FEDERAL STUDENT AID (grants, work-study and/or loans) at DSC is easier than ever before. Just follow these steps:

    • Once you and your parent, if applicable, have received your PINs, complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on-line.


    • To complete the FAFSA, you will need to have the following documents, if applicable:

      For the 2006-2007 academic year:

      • Signed copy of your and your spouse's 2005 federal tax return, if you are required to file, including all W-2 forms and schedules; statements of untaxed income received and current bank statements.


      • If you are a dependant student, a signed copy of your parent(s)' 2005 federal tax return, if they are required to file, including all W-2 forms and schedules; statements of untaxed income received and current bank statements.


      For the 2005-2006 academic year:

      • Signed copy of your and your spouse's 2005 federal tax return, if you are required to file, including all W-2 forms and schedules; statements of untaxed income received and current bank statements.


      • If you are a dependant student, a signed copy of your parent(s)' 2005 federal tax return, if they are required to file, including all W-2 forms and schedules; statements of untaxed income received and current bank statements.


      *Please note that if your processed FAFSA is selected for verification, the Office of Financial Assistance will request copies of these documents.
