Elaina Jean Westegaard’s work has been published in Hawk & Handsaw: The Journal of Creative Sustainability and The Southern Quill. She loves fine foods, casual conversations, and outdoor adventures. Her passion for the arts and nature often drives her creativity in both her writing and teaching. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in creative nonfiction from Chatham University in 2010 and a BS in English with an emphasis in professional and technical writing from Dixie State College in 2008. She currently teaches English composition and creative writing at Dixie State University. Elaina lives with her husband, sons, and several pets in the high desert of southern Utah.
