Interests include Classical argument, rhetoric of the body (particularly dis-ability and gender studies), visual rhetoric, technical communication, rhetorical grammar, composition, and Modern literature.
While many aspiring writers hope to write the great American novel, Joy’s aspiration is somewhat less cliché and far less ambitious: she wants to compose a perfect sentence.
