ACCESSIBLE HOUSING

Housing and Resident Life welcomes students of all levels of ability. Accommodations for disabilities must be first directed to the Dixie State College Disability Resource Center. The Disability Resource Center will then partner with Housing and Resident Life to seek a solution that will meet the needs of the student.

Students with a diagnosed disability that may impact residential living may contact the Disability Resource Center, and will be considered on a case-by- case basis in a collaborative effort with the Director of Housing.

Special requests are considered based on those with the most critical medical need, the severity of the condition, and on the availability of space. The request must be an integral component of a treatment plan prescribed by a medical professional qualified to treat the particular condition.

Student with non-medical conditions will only be considered when or if space becomes available. Conditions such as Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorders, Deficit, or Psychological Disorders generally do not warrant special housing. http://www.dixie.edu/housing/accessible.php
