We are excited to present the 2010-2011 Centennial cultural arts season at Dixie State College. Faculty and staff have dedicated themselves in building a legacy of excellence that began one hundred years ago and continues today. The growing number of students enjoying, studying and excelling in the arts in the our beautiful Eccles Center as well as the recent addition of music and theater bachelor’s degrees attest to this determination and focus. Growth has always been a way of life at Dixie, we continue to build on our traditional values to keep the “Dixie Spirit” as our vision and constant goal.
We invite you to join us this centennial year as we celebrate in music, dance, art and theater the legacy left by some of Dixie’s “greats” such as Anderson, Bentley, Bleak, Bunnell, DiFiore, Garner, Huntsman, Olsen and Putnam. We honor these great educators as we do our all our fine faculty past and present. Their contribution will forever stand as a reminder of the hard work, dedication and vision that’s become Dixie’s standard.
Our talented and motivated students and faculty will bring to the Centennial celebration uplifting, beautiful and inspired concerts, recitals, gallery shows and performances. We promise you will leave with a bit more “red sand in your shoes” that will bring you back again and again.
