Over the past 37 years the Brigham Young University's Young Ambassadors have shared their remarkable talent and energy in more than 68 countries and have gained a strong reputation as wholesome, professional entertainers. Having recently returned from a three-week tour of China where they presented 'Broadway Rhythm' to over 15,000 people, Young Ambassadors will premier an all new production, 'The New American Songbook', for the 2007-2008 season. This variety stage production will celebrate popular music and dance of the 1960s up to the present day, and feature familiar tunes that will no doubt have the audience tapping their toes and humming along. Featuring hits by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Diamond Rio, Billy Joel, and including some of the most exciting moments from Disney and Broadway today, Family audiences will not want to miss songs from the movies Tarzan, Hercules, and the Broadway musicals Wicked, Spamalot, and A Chorus Line.

Since entering the world stage at Japan's Expo '70, the Young Ambassadors have performed their vibrant blend of song and dance in 56 nations of the world. Their audiences have included the prime minister of India, the queen of Thailand, and the king and queen of Jordan.

The Young Ambassadors combine contemporary music and dance for a fast-paced showcase of American musical theater. Chosen through an extensive selection process, these talented performers offer a fresh view of America's culture and ways of life.

"As unofficial ambassadors for the United States, the Young Ambassadors are without peer." --Gregory J. Newell, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State

"They've changed for the better and better [after 30 years]. The caliber of the students, their talent, hard work, and training have made them very successful."
