Free Accounting Training and Business Consultation Services
Dixie State College, School of Business- Accounting Students in conjunction with the Dixie Business Alliance provides an intensive short term training environment formulated to assist emerging or struggling small businesses with their accounting, compliance and business advising needs.

This accounting school program benefits both the community businesses and the accounting students. The community benefits from Certified-Public-Accountants (The Faculty) supervising students who are technically skilled in various business advising and entity structure issues along with mandatory accounting filing requirements. These students advise clients relative to accounting services generally offered in becoming proficient in cash flow management, bank reconciliation, sales tax compliance, business and personal tax returns. This program has benefited dozens of local businesses. The students benefit from being able to practically use their academic training to advise business clients in business structure selection (Sole-Proprietorship, LLC, Partnership, S Corporation etc.), tax filing requirments (past or present payroll/sales tax etc.), accounting software selection and use (Quickbooks/Peachtree) which allows students direct exposure to actual client engagements preparing them for future employment.

| 1. Each business will be contacted by the student(s) involved to identify the client's needs and expectations from the program. |
| 2. Businesses are advised that they will need to provide access to their current financial and structural documents and tax filings on a non-disclosure/non-competition starting point basis to ensure that legal and procedural requirements are accurate and currently met. |
