  5. "I am thinking about adding or dropping a class, or all of my classes, what should I consider?"

When making the decision to add or drop a class, consider these options:
    To add a class:
    1. Use the online student services to add a class. The online student services are available up until the first or second day of the new semester.
    2. After the start of the new semester an Add Card must be used to add a class. It requires a teacher signature and must be turned in to the Registers office. The deadline for using an Add Card can be found here.

To Drop or Audit a class:
    1. Use your online student services to drop a class from your schedule up until the first or second day of the new semester.
    2. After the start of the new semester you must submit an add card to the Registrar’s office to drop a class. This card just requires the class info, your student ID# and your signature. Don’t miss the deadline to drop a class, which can be found here.
    3. Audit a Class – Students may audit a course instead of dropping it. Students who register to audit a course are considered regular students in determining part-time or full-time registration and are charged regular tuition and fees. Because of limited space, some courses may not be open to audit students. To audit, students must fill out an audit card at the Registrar’s Office. The grade of AU will be given at that time and may not be changed to any other grade. The deadline for submitting an audit card is the end of the fifth week of the semester for full semester classes.
    4. Complete Withdrawal – Students are permitted to completely withdraw from school until the end of the 12th week of the semester. Complete withdrawals must be initiated in the Registration office. Current class schedules list pro-rated withdrawal dates for block and summer classes.
