What can I do with a Computer Science (CS) emphasis?
As a Dixie State student, you can take courses
which will prepare you to pursue
the Bachelor
of Science in Computer Information Technology (with a CS
emphasis) at Dixie, or to pursue a Computer Science
degree at another institution. CS courses are useful for
students in many science and engineering majors, as well as for
students who are learning computer programming for occupational
goals or personal enjoyment.
How do I prepare for a major in Computer Science?
While
you are at Dixie State, you can earn an Associate of Science or
Associate of Arts Degree while completing courses that will
prepare you to major in Computer Science. Course requirements at other four year institutions may
vary, but most universities require the following Dixie State
courses for the CS major:
